Son of S. Gurmel Singh Maan (VPO Kararwala, Tehsil Sadulshahar). An international volleyball star with 30+ international appearances for India — Youth World Championships, Asian Games (Doha 2006, South Korea 2014), Commonwealth Championship (India 2007 – Medal), Olympic Qualification (Germany 2012), and multiple Asian Championship medals. Currently with ONGC.
